Just got back from Chicago, the land of Italian beef sandwiches, and I already miss it! I can’t wait to try this version with my husband!
Pam –
I have been looking for a recipe that I found years ago that is similar to this. I use half a jar of mild Giardiniera, a package of Italian spices, beef broth a 5 pound rump roast and green peppers for topping. I am from Chicago and this recipe totally satisfied my beef sandwich cravings. I slow cook it for 12 to 14 hours and it’s delicious.
