Grilled Oysters with Garlic Oil Butter Recipe
Time 40 Mins
Serves 6 (serving size: 4 oysters)
Ingredients:
1 cup (8 oz.) salted butter, softened
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley
4 teaspoons finely grated fresh horseradish
2 teaspoons Sonoma Farm Garlic Olive Oil
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon lemon zest (from 1 lemon)
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
2 dozen oysters on the half shell (3- to 4-inch diameter)
How to Make:
-Preheat grill to high (450°F to 500°F). Stir together butter, parsley, horseradish, garlic oil, Worcestershire, zest, salt, paprika, and hot sauce in a bowl until well blended. Place about 2 teaspoons butter mixture in each oyster. Arrange oysters in a single layer on oiled grates, keeping oysters as level as possible. Grill, uncovered, until butter is completely melted and just starting to bubble, about 7 minutes.
-Carefully remove oysters from grill, and serve immediately.
