Spicy Ham and Beans Soup with Giardiniera Recipe
Ingredients:
-2 15-ounce cans great northern bean’s
-6 tablespoon Sonoma Farm Hot Giardiniera (mild Giardiniera can also be used)
-2 cups cooked smoked ham, cut into bite-size strips
-3 cups chopped fresh spinach or 1 10-ounce package frozen spinach, thawed and well-drained
Directions:
1. Drain beans, reserving liquid. In a large nonstick skillet heat l over medium heat. Add giardiniera, beans and ham to the skillet. Cook about 5 minutes or until heated through, stirring occasionally. Stir in spinach; cover and cook for 2 to 5 minutes more or until fresh greens are wilted or frozen spinach is heated through. If desired, thin mixture with some of the reserved liquid.
